Land Of Dogs,
There's a world behind these walls that I just need to see.

This is my first try at a photoreal matte painting. I'm currently working on 2 big projects and I needed something smaller aside to relax. I really like how it turned out. Hope you will to!

This is absolutely stunning! Really great piece! Intensely beautiful atmosphere.

The only thing that bothers me very slightly is the water. The reflection of the scenery would look better a little more faded and maybe with a slight motion blur applied. I think that would literally make it perfect, but that's only my humble opinion!

Awesome nonetheless!

Sir, you are clearly a master at this, so I hope you aren't offended if I raise a question about the realism here. Should the reflections in the water be a bit darker and more silhouetted than they are now? Seems like with a setting sun, they would be darker.

Regardless, I love your work. Here's how I found your portfolio in case you are curious: While watching a "Battle: Los Angeles" movie trailer on YouTube, I came across a related video of Johann Johannson's "The Sun's Gone Dim And The Sky's Turned Black" set to an image of your apocalypse city.

And these works are digitally produced in a program like Photoshop, or actually hand painted?
